Day 1. RIBERA NAVARRA OIL AND RICE

09: 30h For those who go by car in the car park in front of the Navarra Arena door see link

Departure to learn about the production of Navarrese oil in Trujal Artajo. This brand with more than two centuries of history is well known in the Ribera de Navarra. Since the middle of the 18th century it has not stopped producing oil, except for a brief season at the end of the 20th century. In 1998 they decided to retake the spirit of the old trujal and with a new plantation of 85,000 Arbequina trees they recovered the name that still retains the strength and charisma of yesteryear. Currently they make Ecological Oil from their more than 200,000 trees of 12 different varieties of olives.

Visit of Tudela, second city in extension and importance of Navarre's foral territory. In this city, Muslims, Jews and Mozarabs lived together for more than 400 years. This coexistence gave the city a cultural miscegenation, which is reflected in its monumental buildings, in its twisted streets, with passageways, walls and watchtowers. Visit and lunch at Rest Silbis, where we will taste a meal based on local seasonal products. Bardenas Reales de Navarra. Visit of this spectacular Bardenas Reales Natural Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. A beautiful semi-desert landscape of 42,500 hectares, which impacts and surprises with each new visit. An unusual spectacle in the southeast of Navarra, close to Tudela, which despite its naked and inhospitable appearance, hides great natural values.

Visit to Arroces El Alcaraván, in Arguedas, a Reyno Gourmet company that markets its product with two quality labels: the one from Organic Production, certified by CPAEN (Council of Ecological Agriculture of Navarra) and the Integrated Production method (a method production between conventional and organic).

18: 30h Approximate time of arrival in Pamplona and end of trip.
